Look who was here!
Back in October, we had the pleasure of welcoming our lovely friends mana Leticia Varela Niha, maun Estaquio Maia dos Reis, and mana Bernardete Freitas Barros all the way from the National Institute of Pharmacy and Medical Products (INFPM) in Timor-Leste! 🇹🇱
The Timor team have been using mSupply for nearly 15 years. We were excited to have the team join us to connect with the TMF team and learn more about the mSupply ecosystem.
The team comes from a range of backgrounds within INFPM, and each had specific areas they were eager to explore:- Mana Bernadette works in the Quality control department and was most interested to learn more about mSupply Dashboards, Reports and R&R.
- Mana Leticia is responsible for the vertical and pharmaceutical program, and
wanted to learn more about Reports, best practices for ordering, and Dashboards. - Overseeing project management and system implementations, maun Estaqiuo was keen to find out about Desktop and Open mSupply development.
During the training, the team was not only shown features which they previously didn’t know about, but also discussed their workflows and opportunities for improvements of the software.
All three team members were also eager to learn about Health Supply Hub, which allows effective management of ordering and tenders, and Conforma which supports regulation management for health regulations.
They also shared some great ideas about cold chain and vaccine management.
We thoroughly enjoyed having Team Timor-Leste at our Auckland office and delivering hands-on, personal training. As usual, learning always goes both ways, and we love receiving feedback which helps us improve our systems even more.
From Theory to Practice: A Visit to Fiji
After the theoretical training session in Auckland, the team traveled to #Fiji 🇫🇯 to witness the practical operation of mSupply systems in a real-world warehouse environment, thanks to our partners at Beyond Essential Systems, and the Fiji Ministry of Health. This was a fantastic opportunity to see mSupply in action and understand its practical applications in managing health supply chains.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for our amazing mSupply users of Timor-Leste!
To wrap up the training, Maun Estaquio shared the following reflections on behalf of the team:
“Not only did we learn about mSupply, but we also shared our opinions about mSupply in different countries, the culture of New Zealand, and exchanged views with each other. In the future, we will implement what we learned at the mSupply Foundation in Auckland at INFPM.”
Thank you to the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade for sponsoring these Manaaki scholarships!
