About Open mSupply

mSupply is by far the world’s most used Logistics Management Information System in low- and middle-income countries.
We’re thrilled to be moving our 20 years of work to the new Open mSupply.
Read on to find out more.

Open mSupply takes the key features that have made mSupply successful in 40 countries into a new, high performance, web-compatible system.
The same application runs on Windows, Mac, Web, and Android tablets, and every site is multi-user, even on Android. We think this is a world first!

What does it do?

At its heart, Open mSupply records transactions (stock movements) at every level of the supply chain. It can do that via the creation of shipments, or via monthly reporting (R&R) forms. On top of this core, we’ve built a system that handles everything from quantification & forecasting, procurement, warehousing, and distribution all the way down to small health facilities with a single staff member. Our mSupply Ecosystem and Features in detail pages have a fuller description. The public documentation / user guide site is a great place to see how it looks and to explore the features in more detail.

Sync FTW!

The killer feature of Open mSupply is that it’s offline-first. Sites keep working when the internet goes down. This might sound like a small thing, but we have (again and again) seen online-first systems fail. Failing is bad.
When the internet is back, sites catch up with the backlog, and central dashboards get up-to-the-minute data.
